When they first contacted me, they were about to move to Tahiti for a year… and they dreamed of getting married in France with all their loved ones. Organizing a wedding 15,719 km away, an exciting challenge I was thrilled to take on.
Meeting the Couple and Understanding Their Vision
This couple wanted a high-end, stress-free, tailor-made experience. They wanted to fully enjoy every moment without worrying about the distance between us.
Before they left for Tahiti, we defined together the wedding’s style and atmosphere, the vendors needed, and the logistics for their 120 guests coming from around the world.
My role: be their single point of contact, manage every detail, and coordinate all vendors to ensure a flawless wedding.
Planning a Wedding Remotely: Organization & Logistics
Planning a wedding from afar is an art: managing time zones, arranging video calls, presenting vendors, and overseeing all logistics and practical details.
For Elea and Vincent, all meetings were held via video chat. Every detail - from decor to the day’s schedule - was meticulously followed, even with an ocean between us.
We also visited the venue, Le Clos des Monthieux, together before their departure to ensure everything matched their expectations.
Incorporating Polynesian Culture Into Their Ceremony
This wedding wasn’t just a celebration of their union - it was also a tribute to their life in French Polynesia.
We included traditional rituals and symbols, such as the Tifaifai ceremony, and created a personalized, emotional, and unique civil ceremony. Every detail was designed to reflect their identity and give their guests an authentic, unforgettable experience.
Coordinating International Guests
With 120 guests from across the globe, logistics were a major factor. My role: arrange accommodations and transfers, while ensuring everyone’s comfort and punctuality.
On the wedding day, my main task was to coordinate vendors smoothly and keep everything running on schedule.
Everything was orchestrated so that the couple and their guests could fully enjoy every moment without worrying about logistics.
The Big Day: A Magical Experience
The wedding day is by far the busiest and most intense. After a setup of day-and-a-half, everything was in ready: decor, timeline, vendors, and surprises.
The couple could fully immerse theirselves in every moment, free from any concerns about details.
